International Sales Manager

Bristol Instruments is seeking an International Sales Manager for its Victor, NY location. The International Sales Manager is responsible for all aspects of international sales and business development for the company’s Scientific Product Line.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and implement a sales plan to meet the assigned sales targets for the company’s Scientific Product Line.
  • Manage and develop a network of international distributors for the purpose of maximizing orders.
  • Assess all international sales leads and, in a timely manner, follow up directly or refer to the appropriate distributor for follow-up.
  • Develop and maintain a solid understanding of the company’s Scientific products and the applications for which they are used.
  • Assist the marketing communications team with the production of videos that demonstrate the performance and operation of the company’s products.
  • Develop and maintain a solid understanding of the company’s Scientific products and the applications for which they are used.
  • Ensure that the international distributors have a good understanding of the company’s Scientific products and the applications for which they are used.
  • Maintain a strong discipline of recording activity with customers, prospects, and distributors in the company’s CRM database.
  • Manage and maintain the order pipeline in the company’s CRM database.
  • Remain knowledgeable about the most current competitors product offerings and technology.
  • Participate in the identification of new product and product improvement opportunities.
  • Be knowledgeable about and adhere to all appropriate export regulations.
  • Travel, as required, to meet sales targets.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the physical sciences or engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience in direct sales or sales management roles or equivalent
  • Excellent inter-personal and customer service skills
  • High level of personal initiative with the ability to work with limited supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and priorities
  • Willingness to work with many groups, across various departments
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Comfortable with all MS Office software
