Product Overview
 
The 328 Series Optical Wavelength Meter is virtually identical to the model 228, except that it employs a fast Fourier transform analysis of the optical signal. This results in the ability to measure the wavelength of CW and modulated DWDM lasers to an accuracy as high as ±0.3 pm.

Two versions of the 328 Series Optical Wavelength Meter are available. The model 328A is used for the most demanding requirements, measuring wavelength to the highest accuracy of ±0.3 pm. For less exacting test requirements, the model 328B is a lower-priced alternative with a wavelength accuracy of ±1.2 pm. Wavelength accuracy is maintained over long periods of time with continuous calibration using a built-in wavelength standard. To verify wavelength accuracy, every system is rigorously tested with laser sources that are traceable to an NIST standard.

Operation of the 328 Series Optical Wavelength Meter is straightforward and requires virtually no learning curve. The controls are user-friendly and conveniently located on the front panel along with the measurement display. The system is packaged in a rugged chassis (bench top or rack-mounted) for use in typical laboratory or manufacturing environments.
